Nicholas Hogg

Nicholas Hogg was born in Leicester. After graduating with a psychology degree he travelled widely, living in the USA, New Zealand, and Japan. In Tokyo he worked as an English teacher and an actor, appearing in television shows, adverts, and in a hit computer game as a zombie. As press officer for a Japanese NGO ship he sailed the around the world three times, reporting on global development issues. He has also worked as a counsellor, in road construction, and as a cycle courier. Currently he divides his time between writing and running a fashion brand.

His debut novel, Show Me the Sky, was nominated for the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, and his short stories have won numerous prizes and been broadcast by the BBC. For Tokyo Nobody, his acclaimed third novel, Nicholas was awarded an Art Omi fellowship in New York.
