Maryam Huq is a British-Bangladeshi illustrator and multidisciplinary artist whose work celebrates heritage, identity and belonging through vibrant visual storytelling. She merges diaspora themes with a nostalgic yet contemporary aesthetic, crafting spaces for underrepresented voices with warmth and authenticity. Maryam’s debut illustrated picture book, Bhorta Bhorta Baby was shortlisted for the 2024 Inclusive Books for Children Award. She was also the lead illustrator for Saving Harmonia, a forthcoming title in the Imagine A Story series, created in collaboration with over 900 schoolchildren and the Southbank Centre.
