SJ Bennett

SJ Bennett is the author of the Her Majesty The Queen Investigates series, starring the Queen as a secret detective. The first book in the series, The Windsor Knot, sold to 12 territories in 2020 and was published by Zaffre in the UK. The TV rights were sold in 2021. Before turning to crime, Sophia was a children’s author, winning the Times Chicken House competition in 2009 with her debut novel, Threads, and the RNA Romantic Novel of the Year in 2017 with her seventh, Love Song. Sophia has taught writing for children at City Lit and City Uni, as well as delivering various writing masterclasses and working as a Consultant Fellow for the Royal Literary Fund. With her brother, Christopher Pett, she runs the Prepublished podcast, which features conversations with authors, editors and agents about the art of getting published.
