Anthony McGowan

Anthony McGowan is the author of Brock, Pike, Rook and Lark, which won the Carnegie Medal in 2020. His other young adult novels include Hellbent, Henry Tumour, The Fall, Hello Darkness and The Knife That Killed Me (made into an acclaimed film in 2014). He has also written widely for younger children, including the award-winning Donut Diaries series, and Einstein’s Underpants, which was shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. For adults, he has written two literary thrillers, Stag Hunt and Mortal Coil, as well as The Art of Failing and How to Teach Philosophy to Your Dog.
