HarperNorth to publish BIRDLAND by Jon Gower

Following its success with Jon Gower's previous book on the history of the people of the Irish Sea, THE TURNING TIDE, which did the unprecedented double of being a Waterstones Book of the Month in both Ireland and Wales, HarperNorth has commissioned Jon's next book, a state of the nation survey of the birdlife of the British Isles, which sees Jon revisiting the birding spots of his youth and far-flung outposts of endangered species nationwide while also celebrating some of the revivals and restorations that offer hope to the millions of human birdlovers on these islands. Publication takes place in the spring of 2025, just before the swallows start returning.
