Dr Paddy Barrett

Dr Paddy Barrett is a Preventive Cardiologist at the Blackrock Clinic, Dublin. Trained at the Scripps Translational Science Institute, California and Columbia University Medical Centre, New York, his work is focused on cardiovascular disease prevention and medical technology innovation. Dr Barrett’s research has focused on the biology of atherosclerosis, the utilization of remote biometric sensing technology and he has worked with NASA to validate these technologies for use in the space environment. In addition to his clinical work Dr Barrett was host of the internationally acclaimed podcast series ‘The Doctor Paradox’. Dr Barrett’s work has been featured in Time Health, The New York Academy of Sciences, The New England Journal of Medicine and The Lancet. His first book, Heart: An Owner's Guide, is forthcoming from DK.
