Jack Wallington

Jack Wallington is an award-winning garden writer, designer and food grower. He and his partner Chris traded in a one-bedroom flat in Clapham for a six-acre organic farm in West Yorkshire four years ago. When he’s not designing other people’s gardens or growing veg in his own large patch, Jack writes about gardening for a range of outlets. He is the Hassle Free Harvests columnist for Gardeners World magazine; he is a regular contributor to and masterclass tutor for the Guardian and he writes regularly for Gardens Illustrated, The English Garden, the RHS and many other publications.

Jack’s two earlier books, Wild about Weeds and A Greener Life, were both named The Times & Sunday Times Gardening Book of the Year. His third book, Grower Gatherer, a modern guide to growing over fifty perennial edibles in your garden, has just been sold to Green Books, an imprint of Bloomsbury, for publication in 2026.
