Ian Garner

The author of two books, Stalingrad Lives! Stories of Combat and Survival and Z Generation: Into the Heart of Russia's Fascist Youth, Ian Garner is an expert on Russian culture and war propaganda. His writing is praised for its fluidity, verve, and focus on the lives of ordinary people engulfed in historical events. He has written for media outlets including the Guardian, The Times, and The Washington Post, and makes regular appearances on global TV and radio networks including the BBC, CBC, Al Jazeera, and TVP World. He currently resides in Kingston, Ontario, where he lectures at Queen's University.
