Amy Raphael

Amy Raphael has been writing about popular culture and sport for three decades. As a journalist, Amy has been employed by The Face and Esquire and has freelanced for all the UK broadsheets, as well as magazines such as The Radio Times and Rolling Stone. She has interviewed over a thousand icons along the way, from Kurt Cobain to Patti Smith. She has written half a dozen non-fiction books, including Danny Boyle: Creating Wonder; A Seat at the Table: Women on the Frontline of Music and A Game of Two Halves: Famous Football Fans Meet Their Heroes. As a ghostwriter, she has worked with Steve Coogan and Sir David Hare on their respective autobiographies. She is the author of two children's books: The Forest of Moon and Sword and The Ship of Cloud and Stars, both published by Hachette. She lives in Hove with her daughter and her cat.
