Charlotte Atyeo
Charlotte represents non-fiction authors as well as a select number of children's and fiction authors.
Before agenting, she spent twenty years as an editor – most recently ten years at Bloomsbury, where she was Publisher of prize-winning narrative sport titles, general non-fiction titles, The Nightwatchman quarterly, and Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack. In the decade prior to that, she worked across a broad range of genres including cookery, fiction, gift, humour, and business.
She is primarily looking for original and brilliantly written general non-fiction, biography and memoir, sport, music, nature writing, and feminism, gender and equality issues. She is not taking on books about religion, self-help or memoirs that deal with abuse and/or trauma.
When it comes to children's books, she is open to submissions of picture books and non-fiction (particularly from authors with expert knowledge of their subject). She is especially excited to hear from author/illustrators and from under-represented voices. She is not looking for MG or YA fiction at the moment.
She is currently closed to fiction submissions.
